Description

These studies are conceived as duets and feature new technical issues and musical challenges intended for 2nd Cycle students.
Inspired by the more difficult 12 études concertantes (published by Billaudot), each study has a distinct musical atmosphere and addresses specific technical problems: tone quality, slurs, detached notes, mixing meters, arpeggios, ornaments… and also highlight important elements of chamber music practice such as the ability to listen to each other carefully, individual and ensemble intonation, phrasing and musicality a.o.
Both parts being equally challenging, feel free to alternate and doubly enjoy the piece!
Each part has been recorded separately to give students the opportunity to play “together” during their individual practice sessions and improve with the addition of clicks their listening skills and sense of rhythm before sharing the pleasure of real duet playing in class or in concert.
